Global Meditation of Divine Mother Durga during Shardiya Navaratri : 29th Sept to 7th Oct 2019
Importance of Global Meditation:
The global meditation of Divine mother Durga helps to bring transformation in the participants and also to the world. When we all meditate together at the same time & day for the same cause then the energy that generates is thousand times greater than what we experience during our daily meditation for days, months or even years (depending on the number of participants). The tremendous energy generated from this global meditation helps to heal the participants by removing the deep rooted energy blockages. This in turn solves your life problems. Not only it heals the participants but also the world by creating divine positive energy. This Global meditation is an opportunity for us to serve humanity and also grow spiritually.
Navaratri and Navadurga sadhana:
Navaratri or Navadurga Parva happens to be the most auspicious and unique period of worship of Shakti. The Puranas also describe in parables, stories and anecdotes the pre-eminence of Shakti. In “Devi Bhagavat”- is exclusively devoted to the Divine exploits of Durga. The “Markandey Purana” describes the manifestations of the Supreme Shakti as Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati. Mahakali destroys the forces of the evil, crushes ego and eliminates ignorance. Mahasaraswati is the deity of discerning intellect, pure knowledge and creative talents. Mahalakshmi is the Goddess of beauty, harmony, prosperity and progress. The hymns describing the magnificence of the great manifestations of Shakti and the 700 mantras of its sadhanas are compiled as “Durga Saptashati” in this Purana. The Skanda Purana describes the epic incarnation of Goddess Durga. The Brahm Purana and Brahmvaivarta Purana also narrate the divine descent of the powers of the supreme Shakti. Lord Brahma is cited in the Markandey Purana as mentioning to Rishi Markandey that the first incarnation of Shakti was as Shailputri. Other incarnations of the Divine Mother are: Brahmcharñi, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalratri, Mahagauri and Siddhidatri in that order. These nine manifestations of Shakti, are worshipped as “Nava-Durga. The nine-day period of Navaratri is of supreme importance for physical, mental and spiritual health as it lies at the juncture of two seasons. The nourishing energy currents in Nature are at their peak during this transitive phase to eliminate the harmful, negative elements and impressions from our gross and subtle bodies. The sublime domains of consciousness force as stabilized in earth consciousness by the rishis and yogis are most active during this special period. It thus offers us a rare opportunity of expeditiously accomplishing the sadhanas of spiritual elevation.

Abhishekam(The Water Ritual) of Shiva Lingam:
The Water as per the Scriptures is the physical plane manifestation of the ethers of the solar and cosmic plane. They also represent the life energy. The Water Ritual (Abhishekam) aims at the manifestation of the electrical power from its invisible planes to the visible planes. Rudra, the Lord of Vibration, is the first and foremost of the Vedic Devas who enables the light beyond darkness to manifest as the light visible and tangible. He is the Lord that destroys the darkness to bring down the light beyond darkness into the perception and experience of the beings. He is also the Lord who destroys the darkness of ignorance as it exists in the mortal beings and leads them into the light. Rudra helps enable a being to experience the Divinity and its activity. The vibration of the Lord exists in all that IS. That is what is to be perceived by the aspirant who worships Rudra. This Water Ritual is given by Dr. K. Parvathi Kumar in seven steps for the benefit of all. Step one relates to the fivefold mantra of the Lord, which enables gaining supremacy over the five senses and also develop the will of the mind. Step two is a worship mantra seeking fulfilment from the Lord. Step three relates to the ten dimensions of the Lord i.e., east, south-east, south, south-west, west, north-west, north, north-east, above, and below. With Rudra at the centre, the total is 11. This mantra enables the construction of a double pyramid around the ritualist. This enables the total protection to the ritualist. Step four consists of worshipping the Lord with his eleven chief names. The eleven names are attributed to the eleven varieties of vibrations of the Lord. Step five relates to a special hymn formulated in the Veda for propitiation of the Lord. It is the heart of the chief hymn to the Lord Rudra as contained in the Yajur Veda. Step six relates to seeking longevity of life until the ritualist realizes the myth of death and releases himself consciously from the bondage of the body. Step seven relates to the chief invocation of Lord Rudra who exists in matter, water, fire, air, ethers, and permeates all that IS. During the Water Ritual, each time a name of the Lord is uttered, a spoonful of fresh water is to be offered upon the Shiva Lingam. In all, 77 spoonful’s of water need to be offered as per the brief ritual given below.

Article – Inviting Mahalakshmi to this Deepawali
BY SUSHIL. K
Inviting Mahalakshmi this Deepawali? Who is Lakshmi? Lakshmi is “Lakshya” or “Goal” of our life; which is to be attained. But then, what is our Goal? To be a Millionaire, or even a billionaire; to be a No. 1 athlete; or a writer, or a CEO of a company! What actually is your Goal? Lakshmi is what we always search for. She is something everyone wants but only few will be lucky to get to know her. What does that mean? It means that Lakshmi is the “Aim of Life.” Becoming rich or a CEO is not the aim of life nor should it be. Our ultimate goal should be to merge with Shiva & Shakti, i.e., to attain the ultimate bliss. Some call it Siddhi, some the ultimate joy, the happiness, the “Sat Chit Anand.” So, is this attainable? If your answer is “Yes, it is,” then you will certainly attain Lakshmi, which is the ultimate goal/aim of your life and that is the truth, provided you follow the right path with right guidance. I know this is not easy as said and for a normal sadhak, who is not cognizant with the True Divine Knowledge of this universe; for him, Lakshmi is simply a “Goddess of Wealth,” and Deepawali is the most celebrated festival amongst Hindus, to invite Goddess Lakshmi into your house and get her divine blessing. So, let us know how to invite her on Deepawali, which is the most auspicious night and it fell on November 3rd this year. Before we even attempt to do her puja and invite her, we need to understand her principles first. Because, you are going to do her Upasana, and upasana means to sit near her or in a broader sense, come closer to her. If we do not know her, how can we come closer to her? So, then what are her principles? There are 16 forms of Lakshmi. Here, some of the reader might know about 8 forms of Lakshmi (Astalakshmi) and some even not have heard of other forms of Lakshmi. So, let us understand them first. Lakshmi is the giver of the 16 following principles or simply say wealth: Fame; Knowledge; Courage & Strength; Victory; Good Children; Valor; Gold, Gems & Other Valuables; Grains in abundance; Happiness; Bliss; Intelligence; Beauty; Higher Aim; Morality and Ethics; Good Health; & Longevity. So, if we can please her with our upasana, what else do we need apart from the above 16 forms of Lakshmi? If we can really call her on that day, Lakshmi will certainly open the floodgates of heaven (wealth) to meet our needs. Let me explain the picture and her mudras and what they actually relate to have a better understanding.

The birth of Deity Datta, Who incarnated on the full moon day (pournimā) of the Hindu lunar month of Mārgshīrsha, is celebrated as Datta Jayanti Which falls on 24th Dec 2015. On Datta Jayanti, Deity Datta’s principle is more active on Earth as compared to any other day. By worshipping Deity Datta with full devotion, one can derive maximum benefit of the Datta principle. Datta means experiencing ‘I am the soul’. We all can walk, talk, and breathe only because of the soul in us. This indicates presence of God in us. We cannot exist without the soul. Once we realize this, we will be able to behave with everyone lovingly. Let us make efforts to achieve this on Datta Jayanti. Deity Datta is also called Avadhūt, which means the One Who destroys ego. Let us pray – ‘O Dattatreya, please give me strength and intellect to destroy the ego. Another name of Deity Datta is Digamabar, which means, The One Who is all pervading. It means He is everywhere. In comparison, we are nothing. Let us pray – ‘O Dattatreya, please teach us how to surrender ourselves”.

Global Meditation of Lord Ganesha on
No religious or auspicious task in India can be started before offering of prayers to Ganpati. . Even when some other deity is being worshipped Lord Ganpati is offered prayers first, so that He could help the Sadhak to be successful in the Sadhana. No other god or goddess is given so much importance as Lord Ganpati. Among the pantheon of deities in India Lord Ganpati is most loved and worshipped.
Ganesh means the Lord of Ganns or all deities. The human body has five physical senses, five subtle senses and four senses of the subconsciousness. The basic force behind these senses is of fourteen deities whose Lord is Ganpati.
According to the text Gannapatyarth-vasheersh the reason why Lord Ganpati is worshipped first is that he signifies the essence of human life just as the divine syllable Om represents the Supreme. Just as every Mantra starts with Om similarly every ritual is started with the worship of Ganpati.
Lord Ganpati is very loving, beautiful and divine. He has one tusk and four hands. He holds a lasso, Veena (Indian string instrument), a vessel containing grains in his three hands and the fourth is raised in blessing. He has a red complexion, a huge stomach. large fan like ears and red robes. Red sandal wood paste is smeared on his whole body. He is worshipped with red flowers. He without fail manifests himself to protect his devotees and to bless them. To fulfil the wishes of his devotees he appears from the world of the Divine on this earth.
Lord Ganpati is like the divine wish tree for his devotees i.e. he fulfils all their wishes.
The Sadhak who accomplishes this Sadhana gains wealth, comforts, divine powers. Lord Ganpati is an ocean of knowledge. He bestows intelligence on his Sadhaks. And besides he bestows spiritual fulfilment in life.

Lord Muruga(Subramanya) Sadhana on Skanda Shasti:
Skanda Sashti falls on . It is the day on which Lord Subramanya defeated the demon Taraka. Skanda Sashti is the name given to the annual astronomical positioning of the 6 Stars that brings to the Earth plane, a cluster of energies.
Lord Muruga (Subramanya) is a ray born of the Divine Consciousness of Lord Siva. Valli and Deivayanai are His two wives. They represent the power of action and the power of knowledge respectively. He is Godhead easily accessible in this dark age of ignorance and lack of faith. In this He is no different from Hanuman. He gives material and spiritual prosperity and success in every undertaking of His devotees, even if they show a little devotion to Him. He is worshipped with great devotion in South India. Lord Subramanya’s other names are Kumaresa, Kartikeya, Shanmukha, Guha, Muruga and Velayudhan.
In His picture, Lord Subramanya holds a spear in His hand, just as Lord Siva holds the trident. This is an emblem of power. It indicates that He is the ruler of the universe. His vehicle is the peacock. He rides on it. This signifies that He has conquered pride, egoism and vanity. There is a cobra under His feet, which indicates that He is absolutely fearless, immortal and wise. Valli is on His one side, Deivayanai on the other. Sometimes He stands alone with His spear. In this pose He is known as Velayudhan; this is His Nirguna aspect, which is free from the illusory power of Maya.
The six heads represent the six rays or attributes, namely, wisdom, dispassion, strength, fame, wealth and divine powers. They indicate that He is the source of the four Vedas, theVedangas and the six schools of philosophy. They also indicate His control over the five organs of knowledge as well as the mind. They denote that He is the Supreme Being with thousands of heads and hands. His head turned in all directions signifies that He is all-pervading. It indicates that He can multiply and assume forms at will.
