OM & SOHAM Difference

SOHAM is the mantra of Silence. AUM emanates from that silence. SOHAM to OM and then OM to Nama Shivaya (Pancha Maha Bhoota) followed by the creation aspects.
Shiva Mantra is Nama Shivaya, which is OM followed by other manifestations of different mantra. Otherwise, it is Aim, Hreem, Shreem, Kleem followed by other manifestations of different mantras.
OM is the manifestation of the spirit of Shiva. However, SOHAM references Sada Shiva
SOHAM is the silent sound before the creation/source consciousness and from that the manifestation starts as a Bindu referenced as OM.
SOHAM is the Purusha while OM is the Shakthi or Prakrithi.
SOHAM is the Being level while OM is the Becoming or Creation/Manifestation
